Considered the definitive survey of the nation’s elite schools, this guide reflects a shift where mental health discussions have become integral to leading educational institutions. Many of these schools now offer mentoring programs, talks by motivational speakers, and workshops geared toward tackling stress and anxiety, showcasing a commitment to student well-being.

Among the standout London schools listed, Wilson’s School in Wallington secured the title of Secondary School of the Year for Academic Performance in 2024. Additionally, Lady Margaret School in Parsons Green earned the distinction of being named the Comprehensive School of the Year for 2024.
The joint winners for the best Independent School of the Year 2024, as declared by The Sunday Times, are James Allen’s Girls School and Eltham College. Meanwhile, St Paul’s Girls’ School claimed the top spot as the Independent School of the Year for Academic Performance in 2024.
